Surface & Centreless Grinding

Centreless Grinding is a machining process that uses abrasive cutting to remove materials from a work-piece.  The piece is secured between two rotary grinding wheels, and the speed of their rotation is what determines the amount of material being removed.

Surface Grinding is used when producing a smooth finish on a flat surface.  This abrasive machining process carefully grinds and chips away at the (non)metallic surface of a workpiece, making a particular facet flat or smooth. 

Honing & Lapping

Honing and Lapping are final stage machining processes that produce precision surfaces on metal work.  This process can remove marks left by other finishing processes, such as grinding.

By scrubbing an abrasive solution against the workpiece, and guiding it along a controlled path​, the processes of Honing and Lapping not only improves the geometric form of a work-surface, but also improves the overall surface quality and texture.
